- Continue researching, writing, and preparing for your debate on Thursday!
THURSDAY 11/2
- Last debate! Dress to impress.
- WINNERS ANNOUNCED ON MONDAY!!!!! I'm just not done tabulating your scores...sorry! :(
- DEBATE WINNERS:
- We should not pursue sending people to Mars: OPPOSITION!
- Despite really good attempts at POIs and a lot of facts, my decision came down to: a really great logical argument that was not refuted by the proposition team in regards to the fact that we won't know certain things about Mars unless we actually TRY. No one succeeded at anything by not making an attempt.
- School uniforms should be required in Elementary school: PROPOSITION!
- Great logical arguments AND POIs by the proposition team. Opposition team gave information about prices of uniforms and saving money that was just incorrect...not sure where the info came from, but it was identified and a POI was taken. Opposition team could have gone with the "self-expression" argument and taken it a bit further to help their debate.
- There should be a border wall built between the US and Mexico: OPPOSITION!
- This was a great debate and I enjoyed it very much, thanks! In making my decision, I had to go with the opposition more in regards to the argument about drugs that get smuggled in through tunnels rather than trying to jump over a wall. The proposition's refutation about that was a bit unclear and the opposition's logical argument, in this case, wins.
- We should not pursue sending people to Mars: OPPOSITION!
- HIGHEST OVERALL INDIVIDUAL SCORE: HAYDEN!
